6 years medicine, one year internship

5 years dentistry

5 years in a university department (or teaching hospital allied to a university department), in a rotational system

Year one: oral surgery, oral pathology, surgical anatomy

Year two: trauma surgery

Year three: tumour surgery incl. reconstructive surgery, tmj surgery

Year four: plastic and reconstructive surgery / microsurgery

Year five: access to private patients and own clinics
